Is there a public bus to the trailhead?
No. There is no public bus or train service. Taxis may refuse to climb the unpaved mountain tracks.
Can I drive a normal sedan to the destination?
Only if you stop at the end of the paved road and walk. The final gravel road has high rocks that will scrape normal passenger cars.
Is it safe to hike without a guide?
The main trails are marked, but weather changes fast in mountain canyons. Inform your hotel or hire a local expert for safety.
Can I swim in the canyon or pools?
Yes, but water is fed by snowmelt and stays extremely cold even in mid-summer. Always check depth before diving.
